Author, Nancy B. Brown

Nancy Bowen Brown has turned her lifelong passion for reading, particularly children’s books,
into writing and publishing her own books.

She loves the gift of creating a book that sparks a child’s interest and appeals to their
imagination. Nancy has always enjoyed writing stories about events and adventures in her
children’s lives, so it was a natural segue into writing her own picture books.

Nancy resides in Texas with her husband, Milo, to whom she has been happily married for over
44 years. They have two grown children and two precious grandchildren.

Nancy earned a master’s degree in education and, while she loved teaching, she realized that
writing was not only a great creative outlet but an adventure for her. A wonderful change in
professional direction brought her to work in communications as a free-lance writer and
communications director for 30 years. One project that was close to Nancy’s heart was writing a blog
for caregivers for several years.

Along the way, Nancy took college classes in children’s literature where she realized that
writing for young children was a perfect fit for her.

Today, Nancy is thoroughly enjoying this journey and is so grateful to be doing what she loves!
